Last updated: October 2026
Who we are
This website is operated by Hedley Ventures Ltd, company number SC896907, registered office 9 Ainslie Place, Edinburgh, Scotland, EH3 6AS. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Hedley Ventures Ltd is the controller of the personal information described in this policy.
If you have any questions about this policy or how we use your information, please contact us at thudson@hedleyventures.com.
Information we collect
We only collect personal information that you choose to send us. If you contact us by email, or by using the enquiry form on our Contact page, we receive the details you provide. On the enquiry form this includes your name, email address and company name, the support you are interested in, your company’s approximate monthly revenue, any fundraising amount and timing you choose to share, and anything else you include in your message.
Enquiries submitted through the form are stored securely in a private database so that we can respond to you and keep track of our conversation. Only Hedley Ventures can access this database, and access requires secure sign-in.
To protect the form against spam and abuse, we briefly keep a one-way, anonymised code derived from the IP address used to submit it. This code cannot be used to identify you and is deleted after two days.
Cookies, analytics and how you found us
This website does not use cookies, advertising or cross-site tracking. Our fonts and images are hosted on this website rather than loaded from third-party services.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, provided by Cloudflare, Inc., to understand how the website is used, for example how many visits it receives, which pages are viewed and which websites visitors arrive from. It does not use cookies, does not identify or follow individual visitors, and only provides us with combined figures.
So that we can understand which channels lead to enquiries, while you browse this website your browser temporarily remembers how your visit began: the first page you viewed, the website you came from (if any) and any campaign tags in the link you followed. This is kept only for the current browser tab and is cleared when you close it. It is sent to us only if you submit an enquiry, in which case it is stored with your enquiry. If you would prefer us not to keep this information, let us know and we will remove it.
To protect the enquiry form from spam, our Contact page uses Cloudflare Turnstile, a security check provided by Cloudflare, Inc. It may process technical information about your browser and device to confirm that the form is being completed by a person rather than an automated program. Further information is available in Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Website hosting and service providers
This website is hosted by GitHub Pages, a service provided by GitHub, Inc. When you visit the site, GitHub may automatically process technical information, such as your IP address, for the purposes of operating and securing its service. Further information is available in GitHub's privacy statement.
Enquiries submitted through the form are received and stored using services provided by Cloudflare, Inc., and notifications of new enquiries are delivered to us by Resend, an email delivery service. These providers process the information only to provide their services to us. Further information is available in Resend’s privacy policy.
How we use your information
We use the information you send us to respond to your enquiry, to discuss and provide our services, and to keep appropriate business records. We rely on our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and running our business, or on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
We do not sell your personal information or use it for automated decision-making.
Sharing your information
We do not share your personal information with third parties except with service providers who help us operate our business, such as the hosting, database and email services described above, or where we are required to do so by law. Some of these providers may process information outside the UK, in which case appropriate safeguards are put in place.
How long we keep your information
We keep enquiries for up to 24 months after our last contact with you. If we go on to work together, we keep relevant information for as long as needed for that engagement and to meet any legal, accounting or regulatory requirements. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.
Your rights
You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct, delete or restrict the use of it. You may also object to our use of your information and, in some circumstances, ask us to transfer it to you or another organisation. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details above.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). We would, however, appreciate the chance to address your concerns first.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
